The Reflex tire is designed to dominate in the competitive racing ranks of 1/5th scale off-road racing. The Reflex has square angled pins that are stacked vertically to flex and fold evenly across the tire. Typically a stacked tread will wear less and provide more forward bite while the aligned space helps rotation in the turns and gives a snappy release to square up quickly. Easily one of the smaller pin tires available for 1/5th off-road, the Reflex is a beefed up version of its 1/8th scale sibling scaled up in size to withstand heavy abuse but just nimble enough to respond like a champion.
At the 2015 Dirt Nitro Challenge, the Reflex tire was at full potential when the wet and then dry conditions hit the 1/5th Fear Farm track. Matt Olson bolted on a set of yellow compound Reflex on to his 1/5th buggy and quickly showed the capability of the tread by taking one of the fastest times on the difficult course. During the long A-main event Matt was able to take the victory over tough competition. Back in California at the Winchester Classic, Olson used the Reflex tire to success on a maintained and lightly bumpy surface in the buggy class taking the victory.
To make them interchangeable, the tire beads and inner carcass have been designed to use the stock Losi 5ive insert and fit directly to the already established bead-lock wheel. The inner tabs built into the carcass interlock with the Losi bead-lock style wheels for security. JConcepts sidewall lettering stands out perfectly indicating the directional nature of the 1/5th tires with styling and name icons embossed.
