Model Air colors developed on the basis of intensive research and precise color matching with the Federal Standard 595 color specifications. The sets include the colors for the aircraft profiles and camouflage patterns drawn by Mark Rolfe. With the collaboration of “Pieza a Pieza Modelling Workshop”.
The set with 8 Model Air colors is developed to paint the color schemes of most of the US NAVY and USMC aircraft in service since the seventies to the present.
FS36440: Upper surface color for carrier- based US Navy aircraft from 1955 to 1977. Employed in combination with FS17875 for the lower surface. Also general finish for TPS 1977 color scheme and “Ferris” camouflage.
FS37875: Lower surface color for carrier- based US Navy aircraft from 1955 to 1977. Employed in combination with FS36440 or FS16440 for upper surface.
FS35237: Low visibility T PS color scheme for carrier- based aircraft starting 1980. Combined with FS36375/36320. For example see aircraft: F-4S, F-14D, A-6E, EA-6B, etc.
